LFTL Steak Wagon AvailableLFTL Steak Wagon

Pastors, please be aware that the District Light-for-the-Lost steak wagon is available to you! The steak wagon can prepare a New York strip (or any kind of grilled meat) at a very modest price for your next meal event. No group is too large or small. Most churches can add a baked potato, salad, and dessert for around $1 per person more. Therefore, you can have a wonderful meal for a great price. This can be a great fund raiser for your next event. Take advantage of the steak wagon by calling Don Masten, District Light-for-the-Lost Director, at 308-876-2595.

Open Church List

To receive an open church list from the Nebraska District Council, we need to receive a resume and letter of good standing from your current District Superintendent. Once these have been received and reviewed by our Superintendent, an open church list will be sent. You can mail them to Nebraska District Council, PO Box 1965, Grand Island, NE 68802.

Change of Address

If you are a minister credentialed with our District and you have a change of address, phone number or email address, please email us with that change as soon as possible.

Screening Of Volunteers or Local Church Employees

The General Council and all the District Councils work with ChoicePoint, the nation’s leading provider of identification and credential verification services. As a church, you need to do all you can to screen your volunteer workers and keep the church a safe place to be. ChoicePoint offers Volunteer Select as a tool to help you. For approximately $2, you can perform a background check that offers social security verification, a sex offender search and a national criminal file search. Visit their website at www.volunteerselect.com or call 770-752-6177 for more information.

Another useful website, www.reducingtherisk.com, will help you with online training of volunteers and also has a resource center. Their website will help you make your church safe from child sexual abuse.

Stewardship Website

Generousgiving.org has lots of free material (sermons, statistics, quotes, teaching aids) available to pastors and church leaders on the subject of stewardship.

Central Bible College is offering the opportunity to learn from CBC professors through online study. For more information about registering, call 1-800-831-4CBC, extension 1800, or visit them on the web at www.cbcag.edu/CL3.

The Assemblies of God National Prayer Center is asking for recruitment of churches and /or persons within our Fellowship to pray for others in need.

The National Prayer Center has a two-fold ministry:

Satellite Prayer Centers bring into a local church or home 1-800-4-PRAYER callers who are seeking prayer. Volunteers minister through scriptural prayer one-on-one with a caller and many times have the privilege of leading someone to Christ. Hundreds have come to God’s salvation in Christ exactly in this manner. They lift before the throne of God those who are in need of God’s intervention in their lives.

International and National Intercessory Prayer Network partners who serve with the National Prayer Center are those who receive once a week our daily prayer requests. We have approximately 60,000 who agree in prayer for every need, which includes ten separate nations. Is anything impossible with God when we are in unity?
