Dear
Nebraska District,
We
would like to thank the youth of Nebraska District for providing
us with a 2002 Toyota Hilux, the workhorse of Africa. We know
that the youth have given of their time and personal finances
to provide us with this durable and reliable vehicle. Every
time that we make the trek down to the capital city, rumble
out to a village, or drive through the sandy streets of our
town, we are reminded of your committment to missions. The
church is largely composed of small pockets of believers that
are scattered across the central and southern regions of the
country. Living in the northernmost extream of the country,
many miles will be put on this truck in order to minister
to these congragations. Thank you, youth and Nebraska District,
for the important and practical part you have played in the
establishment of the church in Africa.
Gratefully
yours,
Bryan
and Laura Davis

We
are very blessed to have three pieces of Speed-The-Light equipment.
The first, of course, is our 1998 Honda Odyssey mini-van.
It is primarily used to get us to all our ministry assignments
and errands here in Lima. These trips include going to our
new church plant, meetings with National church leaders, Book
of Hope distributions, Bible School classes that we teach,
construction projects, evangelistic outreaches, etc. It is
a fully equipped van that has a security system and shatter-proof
windows because of the crime problems in a city of 8 million
people. It's size also helps us navigate better in Lima traffic.
On some occasions we have used the van to move furniture and
transport people.
The
other items that we have are a sound system and video projector.
We use these in our church plant called El Oasis de Esperanza
and for street evangelism. Life and ministry would be difficult
and sometimes even impossible without these wonderful ministry
tools.
