Generations in Baptism – Steve Mallery

Sunday January 30th I was able to celebrate a first in my 12 years of ministry in Crawford, Nebraska. We had a Baptism service and I was privileged not only to baptize my oldest son, but also 3 generations in another family. It was remarkable to baptize a kid, his dad, and his grandfather all in the same service.

William’s Aunt Terrie has been attending the church since before I began to pastor in 2009. Terrie has some mental limitations but from the time her nephews were able to attend children’s church she brought them with her. After several years of the kids attending church, Grandma and Grandpa finally decided to come to a Christmas program and never stopped coming.

Shortly after Grandma and Grandpa, William’s dad started coming to church as well. All have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and we were able to celebrate joyously as a church family as they publicly confessed Jesus Christ in baptism. Praise God!
