ABOUT
KARIBU TANZANIA (Swahili for Welcome). Tanzania is the land of more than 60 million beautiful people. It also possesses the “top of Africa” in Mt. Kilimanjaro, which rises in solitary splendor to an altitude of 19,340 ft. The country is also home to the world’s most iconic wildlife, including the big five—Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Cape Buffalo and Rhinoceros.
However, the most exciting fact about Tanzania is that there are more than 10,000 Assemblies of God. The leadership of this dynamic church has invited us to partner with them in “taking Tanzania for Jesus” by building a chapel that will seat over 1000 students/pastors at the Mwanza Bible College.
The Assemblies of God in Tanzania has been growing exponentially and is in need of a new facility that will serve as a chapel, church, and conference center for pastoral training and meetings. Their current facility was built to hold 70 people, but their current enrollment is around 300, which forces them to meet outside and creates quite a challenge in the rainy season.
Jerry Spain is the champion for helping raise the needed $160,000 to build a 1,000 seat chapel in Tanzania to help them continue their mission to raise up local leaders for the work of the Kingdom. When you break it down, each seat costs $160. Will you and your church join us in prioritizing this project so that the full $160,000 can be raised by the end of the year?

Dates: Sunday, March 5 through Saturday, March 18, 2023
Flight Details: Will fly in and out of Omaha.
Trip Location: Mwanza, Tanzania
Registration: Online application through Christ Place Church. It will open on Saturday, November 5.
Registration Deadline: December 15, 2022 (Unless filled sooner).
Team Size: 10-16
Team Leader: Pastor Lance Riley
Team Focus: Construction of a chapel building. (Specifically laying brick, all skill levels are welcome).
Team Cost: Approximately $3,500 (Subject to change until airfare is booked. This includes all travel, lodging, food, etc. It does not include souvenirs, passports, vaccines, etc).
Team Deposit: $200
Team Travel Requirements: COVID-19 Vaccinated, Valid Passport for 6 months, Malaria Medication
Team Meetings: There will be 3-4 team meetings (via Zoom) leading up to the trip where we will discuss trip details, prepare for ministry and grow as a team!
